(POTATO) Low-End Optimization Config

Overview

This mod is a performance-focused configuration preset for Subnautica 2, designed to improve frame rate stability and reduce micro-stutters on low to mid-range systems. It does not add or change gameplay content and only modifies engine-level rendering and scalability settings.

The goal is to provide a smoother and more stable experience by reducing heavy UE5 rendering features that can overwhelm weaker CPUs and GPUs.

Installation

Copy the included configuration files into:

C: Users YourName AppData Local Subnautica2 Saved Config WinGDK

For steam:

C: Users YourName AppData Local Subnautica2 Saved Config Windows

Replace existing files if prompted (backup recommended).
