ISKL Subnautica 2 Launcher — a powerful, portable tool for managing your
Subnautica 2 mods. Detect the game, install UE4SS, enable/disable mods,
install by drag-and-drop, share your setup — all in one clean window.
🔍 Detection
Auto-detects Subnautica 2 from Steam and Epic Games. No manual path hunting —
the launcher walks the storefront libraries and finds your install.
🚀 UE4SS — Detect & Auto-Install
UE4SS (the Unreal Engine 4/5 Scripting System) is the mod loader most script
mods need. The launcher:
• Detects whether UE4SS is installed in your game's bin folder.[/*]
• Installs it for you — one click downloads the correct Subnautica 2 UE4SS
build and sets it up in the right place. No manual unzipping.[/*]
• Offers to install UE4SS on first run if it's missing.[/*]
• Shows the installed version and can update it to the latest with one click.[/*]
• Warns you if you add Lua / DLL mods while UE4SS isn't installed — so a mod
never silently fails to load.[/*]
• Optional debug console toggle for troubleshooting script mods.[/*]
📥 Drag-and-Drop Install
Drop a .zip, .7z, .rar archive, a bare .pak file, or a folder straight
onto the AVAILABLE MODS panel. The launcher:
• Detects whether it's a UE4SS mod (Lua / DLL) or a cooked .pak mod, and installs
it to the right place — Binaries Win64 ue4ss Mods or Content Paks ~mods .[/*]
• Keeps .pak / .ucas / .utoc sibling files together so IoStore mods load.[/*]
• Handles multi-mod archives, asks before overwriting an existing mod.[/*]
• Uses your installed 7-Zip when present for fast .7z extraction.[/*]
↕️ Mod Management
Enable / disable UE4SS Lua & DLL mods and pak mods with a click — the launcher
writes the enabled.txt UE4SS toggle for you. Search, filter by custom tags, and
remove a mod from disk via right-click → Delete mod. If any mods end up in an
outdated folder, a one-click banner moves them to the correct location.
🏷️ Custom Tags
Right-click any mod → Edit tags… → tag it however you like ("Vehicles", "QoL",
"Creatures"…). Chip filters above the list show mod counts per tag.
📂 Profiles
Save your mod set as a named profile. Export it as a single iskl:// link to
share an exact setup with friends. Load / import in one click.
🔔 Nexus Integration
One-click "open on Nexus" for mods that ship a NexusId. Polite 24h update checks —
no API key, only the public mod page is read.
🛡️ Safety
Automatic backup of your save files before launch, Mark-of-the-Web stripping on
every install, and an "Open logs folder" button for quick bug reporting.
📦 Installation
• Unzip the archive so the "ISKLLauncher-S2" folder sits anywhere inside (or next
to) your Subnautica 2 install — or honestly, anywhere at all.[/*]
• Run ISKLLauncher.App.exe.[/*]
Portable mode: if the launcher sits inside your Subnautica 2 folder it runs
fully portable — all data lives next to the exe:
• ISKLLauncher-S2 state.json[/*]
• ISKLLauncher-S2 presets [/*]
• ISKLLauncher-S2 backups [/*]
• ISKLLauncher-S2 logs [/*]
Otherwise data goes to %APPDATA% ISKLLauncher.S2 . Either way, nothing else on
your system is touched.
🗑️ Uninstall
Delete the launcher folder. No registry keys, no leftovers.

• No dependencies. The launcher is a single self-contained .exe — no .NET install
needed, no required mods.[/*]
• UE4SS is not bundled — but the launcher installs it for you in one click.
Lua / DLL script mods need it; pak mods don't.[/*]
• First launch may take a few seconds to unpack the runtime (single-file build).[/*]
• If SmartScreen flags the binary: "More info" → "Run anyway". The build is unsigned.[/*]
• Subnautica 2 modding is brand new — expect rapid updates as conventions settle.[/*]
🔧 For Mod Authors
Ship an optional manifest.json (Thunderstore-style) in your mod folder and the
launcher shows rich info — name, version, author, description, website:

🌐 Language
English (default) and Russian. Switch in Settings → LANGUAGE — instant, no restart.
